About me

Hello! I'm Beth and I am mum to three children born in 2008, 2012 and 2016. When I was expecting my second child I knew I wanted more birth preparation than previously (hospital classes only) but there was nothing locally that fitted what I was looking for. Instead I did lots of reading around active birth and hypnobirthing and took tools from those into her birth.

She was only a few months old when I saw an advert for The Daisy Foundation (then Lazy Daisy) for teachers in the Harrow area. It looked like just the birth preparation I would have loved! I decided to go for it and in early 2013 launched the first Daisy Birthing classes in Harrow. Pinner classes. In 2023 The Daisy Foundation ceased training but I absolutely love what I do so I carried on with classes in my own name, adding more training and tweaking the content to be even more value for money and amazing.

In 2019 I trained as a Postnatal Doula and am now able to offer support to mums in their homes right after birth, helping them find their feet, recover and grow in confidence as they settle in with their baby.

Since 2018 I have been the co-Lead of the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership at Northwick Park hospital. We listen to women and families' experiences of maternity care and work with staff and other stakeholders to improve services to be the best they can be for everyone.

My Approach

Since starting to work with mums, pregnant people babies and partners, I have grown more and more passionate about offering support. I love teaching about birth and babies and I adore seeing gorgeous babies in classes. But more than that I love seeing parents grow into their role. Finding their own path, making their choices and gaining confidence as their family grows. All too often pregnancy, birth or the early days with baby will throw you into the unknown and it can be an anxious and stressful time. I am privileged to be able to walk alongside you as you navigate your options (or help you see your options!) and make your decisions. Everything I offer is judgement free and evidence based so that you are fully equipped to choose the right thing for you and your family. Sometimes all it needs is a listening ear and reassurance, sometimes it needs some more research and I am happy to do both. Being a bit of birth and baby geek means I love learning new things and there is always something new to learn! If you are looking for someone who can help you confidently make you own choices for pregnancy, birth, postnatal or parenting I would love to work with you.
